Means the life energies that lie dormant in us into a harmonious flow and thus bring body, mind and soul in harmony. But what about yoga leads to the positive changes?

The University of Dresden has found that strong stretching of our muscles calms the heartbeat. Precise, held body exercises (asanas) lead to deep muscle, connective tissue and tendon stretching, which brings relaxation and pain relief if the practitioner is mindful of himself and his body. Yoga should always be perceived as pleasant and beneficial with a slight and also desired stretching pain.

The asanas (physical exercises) also strengthen the back and abdominal muscles, muscular imbalances are reduced and tension is released. You will experience the pleasant alternation between rest and movement and will feel more relaxed and at the same time more vital.

The course is suitable for all those who are looking for a strengthening and at the same time relaxing form of exercise. Physical limitations are not an obstacle.

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is a static form of yoga that is performed primarily lying down and sitting. Long held stretches activate and harmonize the Chi – our life energy. Adhesions of the connective tissue are loosened and bone metabolism is stimulated. Yin Yoga offers you a soothing counterbalance to our often restless active lifestyle, which is largely determined by Yang.

Yin & Yang Yoga

The Yin & Yang Yoga class is a combination of flowing asanas that promote strength and flexibility, and long held, static asanas to positively stimulate the deeper tissue layers in the body.

The class begins with dynamic, powerful elements from Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga. In flowing sequences the breath is combined with the movement and the individual asanas are held anatomically well prepared for a few breaths. In the middle of the hour, the asanas change to the calm, meditative Yin Yoga. The focus now is on releasing tension in muscles and fascia. The yoga poses are performed sitting or lying down without muscle tension and held for about 2-3 minutes.

Combined in a yoga class, both styles complement each other wonderfully and bring you back into balance, into harmony between activity and rest, between tension and relaxation.

Yin & Yang Yoga is suitable for everyone – no previous experience is needed.
